Bankers Direct Lending
Orange County, California
Bankers Direct Lending is a small mortgage lender based in Orange County, CA. The owner
was referred to me by another customer.
He had no specific requests other than his wish for the site look upscale to emphasize his relationships with major banks and lenders.
The website itself is a fairly simple, but very elegant design. The photo graphic on the home page uses JavaScript to rotate through several scenic views and typical homes found in California. Subsequent pages are all static, but carry the same theme throughout. There is a custom inquiry form with automated response found on one of the later pages.
In addition to an attractive, customer friendly website, this client has also enjoyed a solid place on Google's first search page for most of his key words and company name. His previous web site (created by another company) used a Flash template that included heavy doses of irritating background music and audible clicks and was otherwise unusable.
The Art of Stephanie Stamos
San Clemente, California
Ms. Stamos is a Southern California based artist and photographer. Most of her paintings
and sculpture date back a few years when she had close
ties to many Hollywood celebrities. She was
looking for a website that would not only showcase her past work, but also her greeting card and
scrapbooking efforts.
This was her first website. She recently had us add a blog to the site, although she has not yet put it to use. The current site has a rich, dark blue background and gold text highlights. Ms. Stamos' art is displayed in a very unique gallery that gives the viewer an opportunity to enjoy her artwork in two thumbnail and one full page view.
This site is currently undergoing a complete revision at Ms. Stamos' request. She is switching direction toward artistic photography, realigning the entire focus of her web marketing efforts. Her site ranks very well in the search engines for her name and key words.
Richard E. Kelly
Grand Rapids, Michigan & Tucson, Arizona
Mr. Kelly is a retired businessman who recently became a published author.
His first book, Growing Up in Mama's Club, an autobiography,
is now on its third printing.
Originally, his request to the Small Web Master was for a very basic, informational and educational site. The original web pages went up in 24 hours. Within a few weeks, however, his editor suggested that graphics from the book be integrated into the site to emphasize the theme of the book. The Small Web Master worked with the book's artist to come up with an eye-catching look and feel.
After a few months, at the request of his readers, Mr. Kelly added a WordPress blog to the site. The basic color theme and some of the graphics were carried over, creating an attractive blog that supports his marketing efforts. To enhance the reader's experience, additional features have also been added to the site.
Mr. Kelly's site consistently ranks in Google's top ten for his name and key words relating to his book.
Compass Real Estate Corporation
Irvine, California
Not every website needs to be an artistic masterpiece. There is a wide demand for clean, basic, and readable designs that tell a story and sell a product. Compass Real Estate Corporation has that type of requirement.
Due to the downturn in the real estate and lending industry, many companies have been forced to change
the focus of their business in order to survive and continue to generate income.
Compass recently began
marketing their "flat fee multiple listing service" to homeowners hoping to sell their own properties.
Although this site is online and functioning, it is still under development. It already ranks very high in Google for its keywords. It has links to several other sites also created for Compass by the Small Web Master.
In many ways this site is very basic, but it features a rather unique four column design to describe the buyer's choices and also has a rotating sales message that reinforces their products and services.
